Sonics owner Victor Oladipo to return to Orlando for Suns season opener
Victor Olads new home in Orlando will feature the same NBA logo as the franchise.
Oladipo, who will be back with the Magic on Saturday night when they face the Suns in a rematch of last year’s NBA Finals, said he has no regrets about leaving Oklahoma City.
“I’m excited to be back home in Oklahoma City,” Olads said.
“I have a lot of friends there, so we’re gonna have a great time.
I’ll be happy to see my family and friends and see the community.”
Oladopo played eight seasons with the Lakers, winning two NBA championships, before moving to the Orlando Magic, where he averaged 17.3 points and 6.8 assists in three seasons.
The Lakers have been trying to find their footing in the Western Conference, and the team is still trying to figure out how to find a star in free agency.
Oladops father, Paul, who played for the Lakers from 1996-2003, died in 2014.
